Wyatt's Shriner's appt. on July 22, 2008

Wyatt had his Shriner's appt. yesterday (hope I say all this correctly)
and they are going to put him in a cast within the month. That also
means surgery to lenghten his muscle so he can have the cast. His bone
is doing its disintegrating thing like it should, but the doctor really wants
him off his leg from now on. Him walking so much didn't do any
damage, but the bone is almost gone now (still has small spots left-This is
how it should be, it's at the correct stage of the disease) so he cannot
walk anymore. And the best way to do that, is to have the cast on. It will
be on for 6 weeks and then after that, he will get braces. When he does have
the surgery-he will stay over night at least one night. He is allowed to have
visitors while he is there, and one parent to stay the night with him. His doctor
at Shriner's will be leaving soon, so now is a good time for this. He is the best in
this disease (Legge Perthes Disease) so we want him to be the one to do the surgery.
I'm not sure where he is going and if he is ever coming back.
The nurse just said he is leaving. Wyatt wants everyone to come visit him
if they can. It will be at the Tampa Shriner's by USF-Bruce B-Downs/Fowler.
We have to get in all the swimming we can before they call us
with the appointment. Anyhow, just wanted to give you the info on the appt.
If you have any questions just give me a holla. He of course is not very happy. He
started crying after they said it. Hopefully it will be done before school starts.
Don't want to miss the beginning of school. My last day of summer school (his too)
is this Friday and school starts back on August 18th (I think that is the day). I have
to go to work one day during the week of 11-15. Other than that-we are off for the rest
of what little bit of summer we have. Please keep Mr. Wyatt in your thoughts and prayers.
He is so tired of being in this chair and this "disease". Legge Perthes Disease if you want
to look it up. Thanks everyone.

NEW CAR-woohoo

Woohoo-Donny got a raise so we got a car. Yeah Yeah. I have air conditioning and windows that actually roll down now. I am so happy. The kids are super happy and Haylee is happier cause now she has a car for when she gets her operators license in August. She has been working with her dad at the farm so now she has money to get the windows fixed and the a/c fixed and some other things that need to be fixed. For a teenager's first car, this is perfect for her. She can't wait to get it all in her name. Here are some pics of my car. It's not brand new but it is new to me and SOOO much newer than my other car.

It is a 2006 PT Cruiser Touring addition, 4 doors. Only has 35,000 miles. (much better than the 50,000 on all the other cars we looked at. And best thing is, the schools credit union approved me alone with no co-signer. Wooohoo0. Payments are at the $200.00 mark.

Yesterday was my nephew Kris's graduation. I made him a card, word book and layout.
I got the ideas from a couple places.

this is where I got the layout idea. I used my cricut and craft robo. A friend on
my local group gave me the cap file, and someone on my cricut group gave me
the diploma file. Thanks everyone. You are the best. I did the class of 2008 and
Kristopher myself on the cricut.

Word books I have made with my Cricut and Design Studio (George cart)

These are for a couple of Haylee's friends (Ash and Courtney) and for Wyatt's teacher (Amanda), and all the secretary's, and the nurses, and Principal and AP. Also for a friend's baby shower, and a friends DH's fifty bday. And I just finished one for my nephew's graduation on Friday. His colors are black and yellow/gold and these are the only papers I had. I am not super happy with it, but hope it's ok.

Haylee and friends

Haylee has FINALLY given me some pics that she has been greedy about giving out. LOL.
I'm sure you can tell which one's are from Busch Gardens. She went with her friend and her brother. The second one is at Homecoming. Also her and her cousin at the pool. Her and her best
bud since kindergarten (also born on the same day-March 4, 1992) with the FRIEND picture frame. She has many more pics but I am lucky to have these. She is either never around or I
don't have battery's for my camera. More that she isn't around.

Thank you to all who is serving our Country (and have served)

Found this on another blog. http://scrapandstamp.wordpress.com/page/2/

The song is written by 3 soldiers, not an official recording, but it is wonderful.
If I Die Before You Wake.
Listen to it, it is worth it, and take some time to think about all those serving YOUR country.

This is hilarious - this guy has some of those dance moves down good, and he's funny. 6
minutes of music too, so be ready to dance lol! (No, I didn't - I sat and watched him!)
This was actually from Jenn from May of 2006. (from my local group)

This is one of my favorites...Hope you enjoy itBarbhttp://www.jeffiscool.com/numanuma.htmlAnd this one was from Barb in May of 2006. (from my local group)

I saved them all. Two in my gmail and one in my yahoo.
I love them so much. lol

Can tabs PLEASE for Shriners

I wanted to ask you all if you would mind saving me all your can soda/beer, etc.
tabs. Donny found out that the Shriners takes them. So we are going to start saving
them and turning them in to them. It will be under Wyatt Richard. If you are not
close enough to me to give them to me, you can take them to Shriner's (USF on the
Bruce B Downs side) or any Shriners for that matter. Just say its in the name of
Wyatt Richard. I don't remember everything Donny said but the money goes to
the hospital for costs and such. I would appreciate it. The next time they will be
turning them in for the money will be June. So save them up please. We have a bucket
we are using to save them.
Thanks in advance. And pass the word around. Thanks

Mosi

I took Wyatt (and our neighbors went too) to Mosi's IMAX theatre to see the Spiderwick Chronicles. It was way cool. I was not liking the theatre at all. Very scary and dangerous the way they have it set up. The places they have for the wheel chairs are WAY at the top and only a small area. Wyatt of course had to sit further down. So I had to carry him. He may only be 43 lbs. but man he was heavy. And you only have a very small walk space and if you slip-YOU WILL GO DOWN> Me NO LIKIE. lol. BUT, once the movie started, it was worth it. (oh and the concession stand SUCKS). The movie was great. Wyatt normally does not get scared easily with movies like this, but it being SO LOUD and the screen the entire ceiling, he was a bit scared and it hurt
his ears. Luckily I brought a jacket for him in case it got cold (NOT like other theatres), it did not.
he used the jacket to cover his ears and eyes. LOL. But I loved it.
Anyhow, here are a few pics after we got out of the movie. They wanted to look at some of the exhibits (I guess that is what they are called).
Wyatt is in a flight simulator. He is also too short to put his head in the right spot. Poor thing. lol

He is inside a firetruck (not a real one). I am the paramedic with no neck. LOL. I guess this is where Wyatt gets his shortness. lol

Field day at Sessums Elem.

This picture here, Wyatt was supposed to get on the scooter and scoot backwards. Instead of that he went backwards in his wheelchair.

Today was field day at Wyatt's school. I let him do the bounce house once. Everyone was having so much fun and he wanted to also.
He had a fun day but it was super hot out.
There were 4 activities left and he could only do one or two of them. Donny finally got there and Wyatt decided he was ready to go. So Donny signed him out and they went home.

This is the wet sponge toss. The side with the most sponges on their side, looses. Wyatt's
side won. WOOHOO. I was in some of the pics. I asked his teacher to take a few pics (I had to help Wyatt pick up the sponges to toss more over) but try not to get my back side in the pic.
Well it was in the pic-actually it took up MOST of the pic. LOL. So those will NOT be posted.

I didn't get many more pics after that as Wyatt took a video and it took the rest of the memory. I had to use Haylee's camera because my battery was dead, and I didn't have another.
